The Impact of Tourism on Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in the Mole Communities


This study contributes to the impact of tourism on Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in the Mole Communities. The objectives of the study were to determine the size and character of the tourism industry as well as the role of SMEs in tourism development. The researcher used survey as the research design for the study.  Probability sampling design was adopted to draw the sample and simple random sampling was used to select the respondents for the study. The study used questionnaire to sample one-hundred and ten (110) SMEs in Mole Communities. Data was analyzed and was presented in the form of tables and charts. The result indicated thatthe impact of tourism on small business development draws much attention to recruitment, type of products in the business, occupational health and safety, human relations, quality management and business
