Abstract

With the development of science and technology, there are some promises to foreign language learners. In current times, among them is the development of the aspects of learner’s autonomy. It improves the quality of language learning, promotes democratic societies, prepares individuals for life-long learning, that it is a human right, and that it allows learners to make best use of learning opportunities in and out of the classroom. And since the term autonomy has direct contact to students’ classroom aspects, the present study sheds the light on the correlation between autonomy and classroom interaction in the one hand, and autonomy and academic performance on another.
