The Ghana National Health Insurance scheme (GNHIS) has come at quite a critical turn of the Nationâ€™s economy with a few issues lingering and capable of influencing its effective take-off. Notably among such unanswered issues features the hydra-headed issue of its acceptability. Whereas a section of the population embraces it as a savior some others out rightly dismiss it as a political illusion. This study directs efforts at assessing the acceptability of the NHIS to the people of Choggu. To do this, a survey questionnaire was served to a carefully sampled 81 respondents in the study area. Linear Regression, a Chi-square statistics and Pearson correlation were conducted with SPSS 16 statistical software to obtain an idea of the inter-relatedness of the variables in the study.
