Perception towards the Impact of Protected Forest Resources and Tourism on Local Livelihood – A Case Study of Old Ankasa

Abstract 

The study sought to find out the impact of Ankasa resource reserve on the livelihood of the residents of Old Ankasa community. A total of 30 heads of households (Abusuapanin) drawn from Old Ankasa community and one management member of the reserve were sampled for the study. These heads of households were purposely selected because they don’t only serve as representative for their households, but are also regarded as opinion leaders in the community.
