Organisational Citizenship Behaviour as Correlate of Performance Appraisal: A Study of Academic Staff in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions.

Abstract:
The extra role behaviors of employees beyond formal requirements are known as organizational citizenship behavior (OCB), which is believed to promote the effective functioning of an organization and contribute to individual success in an organization. This research studied how performance appraisal process of academic staff in the Nigerian tertiary institutions affect their extra role behaviours using a survey design with a well-structured likert scale questionnaire.
