Motivation as a Strategy in Enhancing Staff Retention in Some Selected Banks in the Tamale Metropolis.

Abstract
The study was generally on motivation as a strategy in enhancing employee retention in some selected banks in the Tamale Metropolis. The survey strategy within the quantitative research methodology was employed in the study. Factors such as career growth and advancement, cordiality of relationship with superiors, satisfaction with position and responsibility and recognition of superior performance were found to be strong motivating factors.
