Guest Editor
The guest editor holds a crucial role, necessitating prior expertise in the intellectual content relevant to manuscripts and publication. Responsibilities encompass securing articles, reviewing them, collaborating with authors and editorial assistants for revisions, and organizing the review process.
They ensure fairness and timeliness in peer reviews, emphasizing scientific quality in the selected papers. Topics covered must align with the journal's domain.
Guest editors, experts in the field, select article reviewers, scrutinize potential conflicts of interest among reviewers, and, when necessary, engage at least two external reviewers. Their input, along with the Editor in Chief's opinion, is sought to maintain objectivity. Adherence to publisher-provided best practices prevents fraudulent reviewer selection.
All journal communication is managed via an electronic submission system overseen by the guest editor, responsible for safeguarding submitted materials and maintaining article confidentiality.
