Abstract

Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) are of great relevance in terms of training work force for Ghana. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of Transformational Leadership (TL) on performance in HEIs. The study used quantitative correlation design, whilst SPSS-AMOS was used to run the analysis. The study found that all the four dimensions of Transformational Leadership (TL) have significant positive relations on the performance in HEIs. Consistent with the findings of this study, it was concluded that HEI leaders that demonstrate a TL style get higher results and greater institutional performance from their teaching and administrative staff.
