Improvement or the Same: Typing Skills of Students in the Tamale Technical University


This study employed descriptive survey to ascertain the typing skills level of first year students ‘before’ and ‘after’ the end of first semester in Tamale Technical University. Krejcie and Morgan (1970) table was used to obtain (103) from a population of 140 students. Simple Random Sampling was used to select the required number from the population. Three lecturers from the department and three former students were purposively selected for the study. The instruments employed for the collection of data were questionnaires, interviews and observations. Data obtained from interviews and observations were used to corroborate those of questionnaires.
