Effects of Micro Credit on the Income of Women in the Gushegu District of the Northern Region

Abstract

The uncertainty of global economic conditions has necessitated the emergence of various alternatives sources of livelihood.  Policy and decision makers have a difficulty controlling the policy decisions that bring smiles onto the faces of women in rural areas in particular.  The main objective set out in this study is to assess the impact of microcredit services on the incomes of women involved in Small Scale Businesses in the Gushegu district of the northern region.  The study employs a cross-sectional ethnographic approach utilizing both primary and secondary data sources.
