Durability of normal concrete is not resistant to acid and base attacked. These cause the invention of admixtures in concrete production which include effective microorganisms. The technology of Effective Microorganisms is being practiced in many areas and with positive outcome. In recent years researches carried out in Malaysia, Japan and Nigeria (using locally made effective microorganisms) indicated that the effective microorganism enhances the strength of concrete when the optimum dosage was used. The main objective of this research is to determine the durability of concretes when the mixing water is partially replaced with locally made effective microorganisms under different environmental conditions. This research was carried out in laboratory where cement, aggregates, water, locally made EM-A, H2SO4, NaOH, waste water, and fresh water were used to produce and cure cubes up to 56 days, after 28 days of normal curing.
