Assessment of the relationship between Service Quality Dimensions and Socio-Demographic Characteristics of Clients of Ghana National Health Insurance Scheme

Abstract

Quality is a complicated construct to quantify although the ability to measure quality is the key to assessing whether or not the industry provides the service customers desire, therefore, the customers hold the key to business survival and success. This study was conducted primarily to find the correlation between the perceptions of service quality of different people/groups in terms of  their socio-demographic characteristics in accessing health insurance. To assess the effectiveness and efficiency of the Wa Municipal Mutual Health Insurance Scheme in its meeting the dimensions (reliability,responsiveness, tangibles, assurance and empathy) and  examine the challenges that confront the implementation of health insurance scheme in Ghana.
