It is vital that organisations retain their valuable staff in order to achieve their organisational goals. The study explored factors that influence staff turnover at the Takoradi Polytechnic with the main lens being Brown’s (2007) typology. The quantitative research method was employed for this study. The data used for the study were obtained from 222 employees using the stratified random sampling procedure. A questionnaire was used to obtain the data. Simple frequencies, Student t-test and ANOVA were used to analyse the data.
